Phil Barkhorn joined Anchorage Capital Group, L.L.C. in 2017 and is based in the New York office. Before joining, Phil was a Senior Analyst at Axar Capital Management. Prior to joining Axar Capital Management, Phil was a Summer Associate at Mount Kellet Capital Management. Prior to joining Mount Kellet, Phil was a Private Equity Associate at The Gores Group, LLC, and before that was an Investment Banking Analyst in the Industrials group at Citigroup Global Markets, Inc. He began his career as an Investment Banking Analyst in the Mergers & Acquisitions and Special Situations groups at Sagent Advisors, Inc. Phil received an M.B.A. from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania, and a B.S. in Business Administration from Washington University.
