Brian Wells joined Anchorage Capital Group, L.L.C. in 2023 and is based in the New York office. Before joining, Brian was Special Counsel on the Commodities, Derivatives, and Energy team at Stroock & Stroock & Lavan, LLP. Prior to joining Stroock & Stroock & Lavan, LLP, Brian was Business Finance and Restructuring Associate at Weil, Gotshal & Manges. Prior to joining Weil, Gotshal & Manges, Brian was a Secondee with the Anti-Bribery group at Goldman, Sachs & Co. He began his career as a Law Clerk for The Honorable Stuart M. Bernstein of the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of New York. Brian received a J.D. from the University of Virginia School of Law, and a B.A. in both English and Psychology from the University of Southern California.
